BAGS2RICHES 2008!
Bags2Riches is an annual Handbag Competition dedicated to homeless prevention. It will benefit Trusted Partners, the one of a kind program that provides volunteer mentors for individuals and families in homeless prevention programs.

CALL FOR DESIGNERS 2008
Fiber Artists, Quilters, Knitters, and creators of all kinds
Create your own original handbag to be given to Trusted Partners and entered into the competition. Ten lucky finalists will be on the runway in a fashion show at the Artsgarden on Wednesday, October 8, 2008. The “Most Original Handbag Award” will be presented to the designer whose bag receives the most purchased votes. Each of the ten final handbags will go home with a lucky voter. (All other handbags will be sold or auctioned.)
Deadline for Entry is August 20, 2008. $10 entry fee for contest. See rules for participation.

The 2007 "Most Original Handbag" was created by Susan Ziel, a nurse/attorney who enjoys a creative outlet. Votes on Susan's bag, "The Ties that Bind Us Together" raised over $750 to help prevent homelessness in Indianapolis.
