2012 Contest Rules

The deadline for entries to the
Bags2Riches 2012 Contest is August 9, 2012

TO ENTER:
1. Create an original purse, handbag, or tote
2. Title your entry
3. Complete an official entry form
4. Enclose a $10 entry fee.

Entries must be received by August 9, 2012. Any bags received after that date or without the entry fee will not be eligible for the grand prize, but will be sold or included in the silent auction.

Left: Designer, Heidi Jay, is pictured with 2011 Gala model and her Top 10 handbag “Fever”. Heidi creates using materials that are found, recycled, second hand, or antique items. Much of her artwork is inspired by a representation of nature and the color combinations she provides. Heidi currently works on commission, freelances, is a contributing editor for www.aroundcarmel.com and is a sales representative for Cheeky Couture.

Finalist Judging: All entries will be judged by representatives of the Sponsor, who will select ten (10) finalists. Criteria include originality, unique design elements, and quality of the workmanship.

The 10 finalists will be announced on August 29 at www.bags2richesindy.org. All bags not selected as a finalist will be included in the Silent Auction or Sale portion of the event. The ten (10) finalists and up to 30 additional high quality bags will be awarded a Bags2Riches tag.

Grand Prize Judging: The Grand Prize winner will receive the most purchased votes. Votes can be purchased online and at the events. The Top 10 Bags will be online no later than August 29 at www.bags2richesindy.org. (Each of the Top 10 bags will be awarded to a lucky voter, who will be announced at the Bags2Riches Gala. Bags will be awarded after submission to a National Publication.)

Prizes: One Grand Prize of $500 cash will be awarded. The Top 10 bags will be professionally photographed and then submitted to national magazines (publication not guaranteed). The winning bag will be featured on the Bags2Riches website.

Agreement: Entry constitutes permission to use the winner’s name, picture, likeness and city and state of residence for purposes of trade, publicity or promotion for no additional compensation except where prohibited by law.

Your entry must be your original work. Entry to Bags2Riches relinquishes your ownership of the bag.
