The Challenge is back for 2012!
Want to help prevent homelessness? Challenge your collective, group, guild, or circle to use their creativity to create original handbags and enter their creations in the 2012 Bags2Riches Handbag Competition. (All mediums are welcome. The use of patterns is accepted provided the end result is unique.)
Enter 4 or more handbags as a group and reduce the entry fee to $5/bag.
All bags must be delivered/mailed as a group.

Bags2Riches is a unique Handbag Competition dedicated to the homeless and near homeless in the Indianapolis community. It will benefit Trusted Mentors efforts to use the power of mentoring to help adults establish stable lives by reducing the chaos brought about by poverty, homelessness, under-employment, and the effects of incarceration.
My whole life was in [a] handbag. My handbag was dirty and lipstick was on everything. I had different pieces of paper that had no real meaning. That handbag was of death, loss, and no real meaning except chaos and confusion. I have a new handbag now. First it was lonely and scary, then I started to fill this handbag up with numbers of people that carried the same kind of bag I did, and they tell me how they got rid of that other handbag. These people have showed me how a handbag was supposed to look on the inside, clean and neat. My handbag is organized and can get better as long as I practice improving my self for the better.
